Community groups offer the people of Grace Chicago an opportunity to meet weekly for prayer, Bible study, and social interaction. We currently have three community groups comprised of about 12 to 15 people. These groups also serve as incubators that will birth more groups as we grow. For more information contact Grace’s community groups coordinator, Bob Reid.

All social events sponsored and advertised by Grace Chicago are open to the public. We create an inviting atmosphere so you and your friends will feel comfortable. Past events have included wine tastings, barbecues, architecture tours, group attendance at various Chicago events (such as the annual 4th of July fireworks), concerts, and—of course—parties.
Here are some of Grace’s past events. If you missed something, don’t worry—this group is known for repeat performances.

In some ways, getting to know our community and those in it can’t be done better than by volunteering at the Joshua Center and serving a meal to the homeless, which we do every third Thursday of the month. We are also perform ad hoc service projects for a variety of other community service partners. For more information how to serve your community with Grace contact Kyle Garrett.
The Grace Chicago lecture series offers the opportunity to dive deeper into the study of Scripture, theology, and applied theology. The lectures also provide exposure to the deeper learning behind the Sunday services’ more succinct presentation of the Gospel.
Our lectures this past spring focused on the relationship between the Old and New Testaments, specifically examining how Jesus and Paul used the Old Testament, and highlighting principles that would aid our reading of it. The fall lecture focused on the destructiveness of perfectionism and the proper pursuit of excellence.
We post announcements about Grace Chicago social events, service opportunities, and other happenings on this site, so visit this page regularly.
If you have further questions, feel free to call or send us an email —we’d be happy to hear from you. And, of course, come see us to ask your questions in person.
