Evening Worship Service
For many years, Grace met in a school located right along the Chicago Marathon route—which meant getting to church on marathon morning was nearly impossible! So, once a year, we traded our usual morning worship for an evening service.
We may have a permanent home now (and no longer be directly on the marathon route), but we’ve kept the tradition. Enjoy Marathon Sunday in the city, cheer on the runners, sleep in, or take your morning slow—and then join us for worship at 5pm. We’d love to see you there!

Working from home? Make Grace your office for the morning. Bring your laptop and come co-work with us on Wednesdays from 9a–12p. There’s always hot coffee, plenty of space to spread out, and room to step away for a private call when you need it. Come for the whole morning or just stop by for a bit — whatever works for you.
Grace Cooks at Breakthrough
Once a month, a team from Grace makes dinner for the residents of the Breakthrough Women’s Center in East Garfield Park.
Join us in the kitchen from 6–8pm on the third Thursday of each month. No cooking skills are needed—just show up, follow directions, and help us get dinner on the table. It’s an easy and meaningful way to spend an evening together and support our neighbors at Breakthrough.

Blessing of the Animals
In celebration of the feast of St Francis, bring your dog, cat, rabbit, turtle (or any other pet!) to our Blessing of the Animals.
We’ll gather at the church building to give thanks for God’s creation and to bless each animal. There will be coffee and treats for both people and pets.
Please make sure your pet is appropriately leashed.

Breakthrough Walk for Hunger and Housing
Join Breakthrough for a one-mile walk through our beautiful Garfield Park community as we raise awareness and funds to support our vital food and housing programs.
Maundy Thursday Community Dinners
We will mark Maundy Thursday by gathering around tables in one another’s homes. These dinners will be a simple time of shared food, thoughtful conversation and remembering the night Jesus gathered with his disciples for the Last Supper.

Grab your laptop (or a notebook, a neglected novel, colored pencils or whatever else is floating around on your to-do list) and spend the morning working at Grace. We’ll make a pot of coffee and you’re welcome to come and go as needed - the wi-fi is plentiful and there are plenty of open classrooms if you need privacy to take a call. All are welcome!
